SUNLU launches the new FilaDryer SP2, featuring a modular design that enables scalable production.
SUNLU, China’s leading tech company in 3D printing materials, is releasing the new FilaDryer SP2. This high-performance filament dryer comes complete with an innovative modular design feature.
The modular design separates the heating base from the drying chambers to enable a flexible “one-base, multi-chamber” setup. After drying, for storage purposes users can vertically stack up to three chambers, expanding capacity without increasing the footprint – ideal for multi-printer environments where filament management often becomes a bottleneck. This scalable approach is highly desirable to print farms, aligning drying capacity with printer count and thereby eliminating the need for multiple standalone dryers.

Efficiency is a key advantage. Repetitive testing on PETG proves that the SP2 reduces filament moisture from 0.6% to 0.2% in just 4 hours – outperforming comparable dryers by 30%. In terms of performance, the SP2 offers professional-grade drying with a wide adjustable temperature range of 35 to 70 °C, supporting everything from PLA to moisture-sensitive nylons.
Each chamber of the FilaDryer SP2 features a high-precision humidity sensor which allows for real-time monitoring. The interior itself is very spacious and accommodates two 1 kg rolls, one 2 to 3 kg spool, or spools up to 250 mm in diameter and 153 mm in width. This capacity is particularly valuable for long prints, where conventional dryers often fall short. In tests, the SP2 reduced fully saturated PLA to optimal print ready moisture levels within 4 to 6 hours at 55 °C.
